One EIN, Two Accounting Firms File 941

The church has one EIN. One accounting firm will file 941 for the church's mission employees.

A second accounting firm will file a 941 for the church's two employees

One accountant does not believe that two 941s can be filed for one EIN. Is that true?

One EIN One 941

The accountant is exactly right. You can only file one 941 for each EIN.

One of those accounting firms will have to file the quarterly 941s and state payroll returns and the other will have to turn in a report of the employees that they pay ...so it can all be on one return.
