We currently are using Quickbooks Pro 2013 and go through a web hosting company to access QB. Is the web hosting necessary? There is of course a cost, and it seems very "touchy" and "glitchy". I am new to this position at my church of assisting/overseeing the bookkeeper ( who is also new in her position), so I am trying to look at all my options. In doing research, the online version of QB without a hosting site looks easier to work with. Any thoughts? Thank you

If you want to DIY your payroll, I highly recommend you look at using Gusto! It is very user friendly and their support is awesome! Plus they know how to set up and maintain payrolls for churches and nonprofit organizations.
Note: I am a "partner" of Gusto, but as I have told you before ... I never recommend anything that we or our clients have not tried and love =)
