As a Pastor for 30 years we really did not think of our health or retirement. The church building has now been sold and the folks left want to give the proceeds of the sale of the building into our retirement trust. What would be the best way to do this? Thank You Pastor John

Retirement. . .after sale of church building?

I'm confused; you said that retirement had not been thought of in 30 years, yet you reference a retirement trust fund. Anyway, sounds like an attorney knowledgeable of "non-profits" might need to be consulted.

If you want to DIY your payroll, I highly recommend you look at using Gusto! It is very user friendly and their support is awesome! Plus they know how to set up and maintain payrolls for churches and nonprofit organizations.

Note: I am a "partner" of Gusto, but as I have told you before ... I never recommend anything that we or our clients have not tried and love =)
