Non-Cash Donation of Equipment

An individual has agreed to allow our church to use his outdoor stage equipment/apparatus for a community picnic at NO COST to our church if we (our church) provide him with a non-cash donation receipt.

Can our church provide such a receipt?

If so, what should the wording be on this receipt?

No. The value of rent-free use of equipment cannot be claimed as a charitable contribution.

If you want to DIY your payroll, I highly recommend you look at using Gusto! It is very user friendly and their support is awesome! Plus they know how to set up and maintain payrolls for churches and nonprofit organizations.

Note: I am a "partner" of Gusto, but as I have told you before ... I never recommend anything that we or our clients have not tried and love =)
