Fundraiser

by Tommy

I am wondering if anyone has any guidelines for determining when or if a fundraising dinner etc should be done for a family in need?

Some circumstances are pretty clear (death of dad, no insurance, 4 kids, mom doesn't have outside job) and others are not so clear. we want to be consistent and fair. Any thoughts?

Fundraising dinners

The only time I remember our church having done one is during mounting medical costs of church members. We do have a benevolence fund budget line-item to use when people ask for assistance. Recently our new minister has created a designated fund account for the needy as well.

If you want to DIY your payroll, I highly recommend you look at using Gusto! It is very user friendly and their support is awesome! Plus they know how to set up and maintain payrolls for churches and nonprofit organizations.

Note: I am a "partner" of Gusto, but as I have told you before ... I never recommend anything that we or our clients have not tried and love =)
