As Sr pastor I receive only parsonage. Wages=$0, Do I need W2?

As Sr pastor I receive only parsonage. My total wages are $0. I am bi-vocational and work outside of church to support my family. Does my church still need to give me a W2? I'm the only pastor on staff.

The W-2 would not be required in that case. What you do when you file your taxes (which hopefully is before now)is file an SE form for self-employment taxes, adding the rental value of the parsonage, because you are liable for that tax on that amount.

If you want to DIY your payroll, I highly recommend you look at using Gusto! It is very user friendly and their support is awesome! Plus they know how to set up and maintain payrolls for churches and nonprofit organizations.

Note: I am a "partner" of Gusto, but as I have told you before ... I never recommend anything that we or our clients have not tried and love =)
