Small Church - Deciding on Using Flockbase Accounting Software

We have a small church with 24 members and 3 person on the payroll. I just started to work with the Treasurer to help with the accounting.

We have been using Excel and we need to transition to an accounting software that can help with our 941 form and the W2 and W3. I have looked into Quickbook and Peachtree Sage and I think they are a little expensive for a small church.

Have anyone used Flockbase?

Is it easy to use?

Does the software help your church with bookkeeping?

I didn't see a free trial version available on their web site. We don't want a software that we have to subscribe monthly so I started to look at Flockbase.

They seem like the only one that is fairly inexpensive.

IS there any other software available that is comparable that I can also consider?

We use it for church records, I do not find it to be user friendly. Our deacons use it to document donations. The brand new update is Not very good and lacks all the functionality. They put it out before it was done.

ChurchTrac Accounting/Church Management

We use ChurchTrac at our church. It is a simple program but offers alot of features from member management, online giving, and accounting. I researched alot of different companies. We have been using this for about 6 months and would recommend it as a starter program. one of the cheapest programs I found and have been pleased with it.

If you want to DIY your payroll, I highly recommend you look at using Gusto! It is very user friendly and their support is awesome! Plus they know how to set up and maintain payrolls for churches and nonprofit organizations.

Note: I am a "partner" of Gusto, but as I have told you before ... I never recommend anything that we or our clients have not tried and love =)
