Can Quickbooks be used to track individual giving by members?
You can keep track of individual contributions by entering each member as a customer. To record their donations, go to Customers...Enter Sales Receipts to open the Sales Receipt window and fill out.
You could then print out the receipt for individual donations or for those who give regular offerings...you could run a Sales by Customer Detail Report and attach it your annual contribution letter so that your contributors would have a receipt for their individual donations for the year.

If you want to DIY your payroll, I highly recommend you look at using Gusto! It is very user friendly and their support is awesome! Plus they know how to set up and maintain payrolls for churches and nonprofit organizations.
