by William

Is it semipermeable according the IRS, law, etc.. for a pastor to be making purchases for the church with HIS personal credit card and the church then makes payments towards that credit card?
Any advise please provide documentation for me.

Thanks

Business reimbursements are usually ok as long as you have all documentation to support it and you follows IRS rules.
depending on what is being reimbursed there are different ways and amounts that are allowed.

All Require Proper Documentation.
the IRS pub 15 series is the best place to start...

I suggest calling the IRS Exempt Organization to check on the paying a personal credit card directly.. and posting their answer here so we can all see :0)

If you want to DIY your payroll, I highly recommend you look at using Gusto! It is very user friendly and their support is awesome! Plus they know how to set up and maintain payrolls for churches and nonprofit organizations.

Note: I am a "partner" of Gusto, but as I have told you before ... I never recommend anything that we or our clients have not tried and love =)
