W2 Not Showing Housing Allowance

When entering the Housing allowance in the W2 using QuickBooks, I used box 14 and entered the amount as per your example. However, once I printed the W2, the box printed blank on his W2. I have already sent this info to the SSA because it should have been right. How do I fix this? Do I have to fill out a Corrected W2 form and re-send? Why wouldn't the info have printed correctly in the first place?

You are OK.

Box 14 is used to provide information to the taxpayer and IRS. However, there is no requirement to inform the IRS of the HA.

I believe that the pastor should be informed of the amount, so that their tax preparer has the information when preparing the 1040.

In short, leave your IRS filing as it is, and notify the pastor in writing of the amount.

As far as QB is concerned, I would give their support line a call.
