Two Pastors Who Are Married.

What happens with the pastor housing allowance when two pastors are married and live in the same house? I am thinking of a case where the husband is the head pastor and the wife is the associate pastor. Both are on full salary, making a similar income. Is the wife also allowed to take the parsonage exclusion?

Not True.

There is no statutory or regulatory provision that restricts the housing allowance to one per household. Instead, the limit is tied to the lesser of the actual rental value of the home, the actual costs of rental, or the fair market value of services rendered.

Only one housing allowance per house.
