The non profit approved a Housing allowance for me last year of 4,500

I am ordained minister and was given housing allowance last year approve by the board for 4,500. However by accident they filed in as a 1099 misc. When I report it on taxes for this year I should not send the 1099 they gave me by accident and sent to IRS by accident. Since I had no salary last year just the HA,

How should I file this?

HA: $4500

You need a letter from the non-profit organization confirming your properly approved HA of $4500 in case your taxes get audited for 2014. The non-profit organization you worked for should correct their submission of the 1099's for 2014 leaving yours out.

You would not file this $4500 on your taxes (1040 form that you use)as income; you would file it on the Self-employment tax form for social security purposes, unless you are exempt from SE taxes.
