Receiving Social security benefits for secular employment while working as a minister

I have worked a secular job 20 years before becoming a minister if I file 4361 will I still be able to receive the benefits paid into social security from the 20 years of that employment?

Yes. You should still be eligible to receive social security benefits from your prior wages.

If you want to DIY your payroll, I highly recommend you look at using Gusto! It is very user friendly and their support is awesome! Plus they know how to set up and maintain payrolls for churches and nonprofit organizations.
