QuickBooks Online Plus

Is anyone using this version of QuickBooks? We are a quickly growing church (1200+ weekend attendance)with 2 users and no inhouse server, so we are considering Online Plus, but I've had a couple of people say it was 'bare bones'. We haven't decided yet about outsourcing the payroll, but an ADP rep was one of the people who said she didn't think it allowed 'imports'. Any help would be appreciated.

use of QB Online
by: Kathy

Nancy - I also use QB Online in my church. I have the basic plus the option allowing for budgeting. I have been fairly happy with it, but am shopping around for another software package to maintain pledging and payments.
I would speak to a sales person at QB about what can and cannot be downloaded. I would definitely
outsource payroll, but get a few quotes. I find ADP to be a bit pricey. We use a small payroll company recommended by the office manager at another church in town, and it has worked out well.

Good luck!

Was not happy with QB online
by: Anonymous

We tried it for about 3 months (ran parallel systems to desktop QB). It was SUPER slow. Bookkeeper only works about 6 hrs a week and couldn't complete work in that time due to the response time from QB.

Thanks for the Input

Thank you for your valuable input. We are now considering running QB Premier 'hosted in the cloud'on the recommendation of a QB Pro Advisor. Anyone had any experience with this way of doing things?

If you want to DIY your payroll, I highly recommend you look at using Gusto! It is very user friendly and their support is awesome! Plus they know how to set up and maintain payrolls for churches and nonprofit organizations.

Note: I am a "partner" of Gusto, but as I have told you before ... I never recommend anything that we or our clients have not tried and love =)
