On Line Contributions

by Ray Batig

We are a new church and want to encourage on line giving. However, all of the searching we have done has indicated a need to use a third party to make this happen. The third party takes a cut of the donation. THe amount varies depending on who you are using.

Has anybody figured out how to do this without involving a third party? If this is possible we can see our donations getting to the place they are needed vs partially becoming an overhead cost.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Payment Processors
by: Vickey

Hi Ray. Did you ever figure out a way to accept on line giving without using a third party?
Every payment processor I have researched charges a fee per transaction...even for a church or nonprofit.

Whether or not the cost is worth it or not, I think would depend on your contributors.
