Thank you for all of your help using QB within a church. We have been using QB for a couple of years.
My question: we recently moved monies out of our general fund into a CD. How do I record that?
I do have the general fund set up as an asset and the CD set up as an asset but cannot figure out what transaction to use to move the monies within QB.

You want QuickBooks to represent real life, so if it was simply pulling an amount from the church's bank account and depositing/investing it in a CD... you can enter it as a "transfer" in QuickBooks.
