If a love offer/gift is taking up during the special presentation of gifts on the program and stated that the gifts that are enclosed in a love offering envelope and put in the basket that is is directly for the Pastor, does it have to go to the office to be counted or can it be giving directly to the Pastor?

Record all offerings

A proper accounting should be done for ALL offerings given to any church or charitable organization. Count it, deposit it, and write a check for it--creating a paper trail. Love offerings given to the pastor should end up being reported on the pastor's w-2 form as income.
