Love offering to church member

If our small church would like to pay for a member's roof to be fixed as a charitable gift, can we do that? Can we just write a check to pay the repairman? We're in Texas.

The site below is an good booklet that will help you with your giving. If you do it wrong your members will not be able to have a tax deduction.

If you want to DIY your payroll, I highly recommend you look at using Gusto! It is very user friendly and their support is awesome! Plus they know how to set up and maintain payrolls for churches and nonprofit organizations.

Note: I am a "partner" of Gusto, but as I have told you before ... I never recommend anything that we or our clients have not tried and love =)
