Love offering for visiting singing group

If a singing group that travels and performs gospel music is randomly given unsolicited love/freewill offerings from various people in attendance, is this money taxable?

Are you the singing group?
Money received for services(singing) provided are taxable.

If gift is from an individual you will not receive paperwork, but they should get a receipt from your group (if given directly to the group) so they can claim it on their taxes...

You should receive a 1099 misc from orgainzation if money given is 600 or more...

Churches should have a policy in place to address love offerings.

Are you a person writing a check to the singing group? if the group is tax exempt and you are not giving to an individual the gift is deductable, get a receipt if not included on your yearly giving statement from the church.
