Free Goodies

by Cheryl

I have a free program that allows users to print their documents in PDF form it is called Primo PDF and is very simple to use.

It has some security features too that I like.

I have used it for several years when I want to post a document that does not have the PDF feature add-in in the software I am using.

It basically acts as a printer but allows you to save the document as a word document if you do not have internet connections to use the online goodies that Vickey has posted on her site.

Also if someone is looking for a free CD or DVD labeler, If they have a package of Neato labels, they need to keep the UPC label and log into Neato.com and create a free account. They have an online label designer that is free to use if you have the numbers from the UPC label. http://www.mediaface.com/Default.aspx

Also Lightscribe.com has an online design program for labels and mailers for CDs and DVDs.

Anyone can use the online creativity area on the HP website too. There are lots of templates for a variety of things. Here is the link to it if you don not want to dig through all the menus on the HP home page.

http://www.hp.com/#Explore

This link will lead you to a volume of freebies and free online classes for a variety of products that are not necessarily HP produced ( i.e. such as MS Office products and Adobe products). If any church is into publications and uses their own photographs or is trying to archive photos there are tips and classes and software on the site to do that too. They really do offer a lot of free online stuff--even classes on website building and wireless networking.

If you want to DIY your payroll, I highly recommend you look at using Gusto! It is very user friendly and their support is awesome! Plus they know how to set up and maintain payrolls for churches and nonprofit organizations.

Note: I am a "partner" of Gusto, but as I have told you before ... I never recommend anything that we or our clients have not tried and love =)
