Walk by Faith

January's posts: All is Well!

For we walk by faith, not by sight:
2 Corinthians 5:7

Feb 7, 2012 - Tuesday

This scripture has a whole new meaning for me.

By sight Kevin’s health is failing daily, but by faith and what I feel in my heart...all is well!

I know God is going to heal him...just have to keep my eyes on that fact...not on what my natural eye is seeing.

On a good note, I took Kevin down to his folks in Arkansas for the weekend and we got to enjoy watching the Super Bowl with them, Kevin’s sister, step-sister, and brothers. We had a great time!

By faith and not by sight...we are getting excited about our missionary trip in a couple of weeks. Kevin is going to get to preach in a couple of churches.

Praying, believing, and hoping his strength will hold up till he gets to do what he has wanted to do all his life. He loves telling people about how precious our Jesus is and how much He has done for him.

In the meantime we are PUSH...ING - - Praying Until Something Happens! Appreciate you praying with us.

Feb 9, 2012 - Thursday

Please pray for Kevin. He started coughing up stuff a couple of days ago. This morning he woke up feeling really bad. I took him to the doctor and he said Kevin has a respiratory infection and put him on antibiotics.

I told the doctor that Kevin had been swelling and retaining water pretty bad lately and the diuretic we had been giving him was not getting the water off him. He said that the fluid was from his liver failing and that diuretics or anything else was not going to help.

It really upset Kevin. I reminded him where our faith lies...not in man's wisdom or word but in the power of God. All is well and God is in control!

Feb 13, 2012 - Monday

Kevin started feeling better this weekend. Thank you for all of you that went to prayer for him.

However, I’m asking for your prayers again. Kevin woke up sick and in pain this morning. He’s not holding anything down and throwing up a lot of bile. He is in a lot of pain. He won’t let me take him to the hospital. Need Jesus to help him now. Please pray for him.

Feb 14, 2012 - Tuesday

Man...it is one step forward and two back!

Kevin starting feeling a lot better with the cough and congestion....and then (sigh) two steps back :(

He was very sick yesterday. Couldn't hold down water, but doctor thinks it was just a 24 hr stomach bug and with Kevin's condition...it hit him pretty hard.

Thank you for the prayers and Happy Valentine's Day!

Feb 15, 2012 - Wednesday

Praise God he is feeling better....but now he has a deep pain in his left side. He thinks it is from vomiting so hard and so often, so he doesn’t want me to call the doctor just yet.

Sigh...trying not to worry at every pain...but having a hard time. Just being honest. I have faith and truly believe God is going to give Kevin a complete healing...so why do I worry all the time?

Thank you for all the prayers!

Feb 21, 2012 - Tuesday

I was reading about Joshua this morning and how he had his army march around Jericho for 6 days not uttering a sound. I bet those guys were wondering what in the world Joshua was doing and some probably thought it was crazy...but they did what they were told and didn't ask why. On that 7th day, they had seen what God had in mind and a great victory was won that day.

I don't know why we are going through all we are, but I do know God has a great victory in store for us and long as we do what He tells us to do. He always has a plan and I'm sure glad to be on the winning side of the wall;-)

Please continue to pray for Kevin. He has his good days and he has some really bad days. He is still determined to go on our missionary trip next week. I worry about his strength, but God has a plan and we are going to come out victorious!

Remember me in those prayers too :-)

Can't get rid of this persistent cough and now coughing up junk. With Kevin so determined to go...I don't want it to be my health that hinders us :(

Feb 25, 2012 - Saturday

Kevin is feeling a lot better:-)

God is answering our prayers! He is getting stronger for our upcoming trip:-)

I went to the doctor and found out I have bronchitis again, but on antibiotics again and starting to feel better too;-)

Starting to pack...cuz it looks like we are really going to get to go...didn't think so just a couple of weeks ago.

You are right, Jody, we don't serve a wimpy God and He is strong and able to take us through anything and everything!

March's post: Keeping my Heart

Your Sister in Christ,

Vickey
