social security tax after full retiment age

by Yeong
(Lawrence, KS)

If a pastor is still working after he reached full retirement age and has already apply for social security benefit, is it optional to pay social security tax?

Answer

Not that I know of. However, since this question is getting out of my scope of knowledge, I will recommend you contact either the Social Security Administration or a knowledgeable CPA regarding this issue.
