Issue Contribution Receipts to All Members?

Do you have to issue a contribution letter to all your members?

Answer

You are required to record and keep track of each donor’s donation; however, not every donor wants or needs a contribution receipt.

It is usually up to your church policy. Some send them out to all their donors...just to thank them for their support.

Some have index cards that members can check if they need a contribution receipt and instructions to just drop the card in the offering container or give to the proper church staff.

I would send out contribution letters to all donors who gave individual offerings of $250 or more.

Hope this helps,
