Can someone pastor a church on social security disability without losing benefits? If so how much can that pastor make without effecting SSA Benefits

Answer

If you are receiving SSI, you will need to contact your case worker and ask them. According to this page, There are special SSI rules to help you try to work. Your SSI may continue while you work if you are still disabled. As your earnings go up, the amount of your SSI will go down and eventually may stop.

You can receive Social Security retirement or survivors benefits and work at the same time. But, if you are younger than full retirement age and earn more than certain amounts, your benefits will be reduced. See this page for more details.

Hope this helps,
